CyberCOP - Cybersecurity Governance Built
to Stand Up to Scrutiny
Compliance. Oversight. Prevention.
A Program, Not a Project
CyberCOP is RTB Technologies' managed cybersecurity governance program. It is the methodology that organizes everything RTB delivers - from the initial exposure assessment through implementation to ongoing executive governance.
Most cybersecurity engagements produce a report. CyberCOP produces a program - one that leadership can govern, stand behind, and demonstrate to insurers, assessors, attorneys, clients, and regulators.
The three disciplines of CyberCOP work together as a continuous system:
Compliance: Your obligations under CMMC, HIPAA, cyber insurance terms, contracts, and applicable regulations, understood accurately and documented to reflect operational reality.
Oversight: Executive governance, assigned accountability, documented risk decisions, and a recurring cadence that keeps leadership informed and the program from drifting between reviews.
Prevention: Controls that are implemented, validated, and producing evidence through normal operations. Readiness as an operating condition, not a pre-assessment scramble.
Governance Produces Documentation. Not the Other Way Around.
Most compliance programs begin with documentation. Write the policies. Build the SSP. Prepare for the assessment.
Those activities matter. But documentation does not create governance.
A mature CyberCOP program does not reconstruct itself when scrutiny arrives. Leadership knows what has been implemented. Gaps are visible and owned. Risk decisions are documented. Evidence accumulates through normal operations.
Assessment readiness becomes a result of operating the program well - not a separate effort triggered by an upcoming deadline.
The CyberCOP Engagement Journey
Stage 1: Free Second Opinion
A focused 30-minute conversation at no charge. We look at what you have, surface your most significant exposure, and tell you honestly whether and how we can help. No sales pitch.
Stage 2: Paid Assessment
A structured evaluation of your current condition against your applicable requirements. We validate what is actually implemented, identify material gaps, and develop a prioritized roadmap. Available in CMMC-specific and general governance formats. See the Assessment page.
Stage 3: Solution Design
RTB converts assessment findings into a delivery architecture, responsibility model, and proposed CyberCOP engagement - scoped to your organization's complexity and pace.
Stage 4: CyberCOP Implementation
RTB builds and operationalizes your governance program - aligning documentation with operational reality, governing remediation, establishing evidence workflows, and standing up executive oversight. Your MSP or IT team handles technical implementation. RTB governs it.
Stage 5: Readiness Validation
RTB tests whether your program is operating as represented and whether your organization is prepared for the next appropriate level of scrutiny - whether that is a CMMC assessment, an insurance renewal, a client audit, or an internal executive review.
Stage 6: Ongoing CyberCOP Governance
Once the program is validated, it transitions to a lower-intensity ongoing governance model - maintaining alignment, managing drift, sustaining evidence, and ensuring leadership stays informed. The program does not stop when implementation ends.
RTB Owns Governance. Your Technical Team Owns Technology.
CyberCOP is designed to work alongside your existing MSP or internal IT team - not replace them.
RTB
RTB is responsible for governance, documentation, policy, evidence management, risk decisions, executive oversight, and program accountability.
Your MSP or IT Team
Your MSP or IT team is responsible for technical implementation, configuration, remediation, and the technical environment.
Your Organization
Your organization is responsible for business decisions, participation, approvals, and risk acceptance.
This division of responsibility is explicit, documented, and maintained throughout every CyberCOP engagement.
Start With a Free Second Opinion
The first conversation costs you nothing. We will tell you what we see, what matters, and what the most important next steps are - regardless of whether you engage RTB to take them.
